This role is remote within the US. It requires the ability to perform essential functions such as sitting, talking, hearing, and occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs. You may also be asked to attend remote meetings, travel, or work evenings and weekends as needed. What You’ll Contribute In This Role
- Risk Assessment & Analysis You’ll conduct thorough risk assessments across operational areas, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending proactive solutions.
- Enterprise Risk Management Oversight Take ownership of administering and maintaining the Enterprise Risk Management system, ensuring it remains robust and aligned with organizational goals.
- Regulatory Compliance & Internal Controls Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards, keeping the bank compliant and audit-ready at all times.
- Data Monitoring & Reporting Analyze risk data to spot trends, prepare insightful reports, and present findings to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with departments across the bank to implement effective risk management strategies and foster a culture of risk awareness.
- Champion our Mission fiercely and passionately You’ll adopt and practice a commitment to social, economic, environmental, and racial justice. You will apply curiosity and interest in our core values and pursue education related to sustainability practices.
- Protect our Organization and our Customers You will quickly pursue and demonstrate an understanding of all established Bank policies, procedures, and regulations, but especially those defined by BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC. Recognizing the importance of protecting the organization and our customers, you will question suspicious activity and stay in close collaboration with our Compliance department to ensure proper investigation and processing of potentially fraudulent activity. You will stay informed on legal context and regulatory requirements and prioritize completing all web-based compliance and IT training.
- Your Experience and Education You bring a solid foundation in finance, business, or a related field—ideally with a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in risk management or banking. Your background equips you to understand regulatory frameworks, interpret risk data, and apply best practices confidently.
- Your Entrepreneurial Self-Starter Mentality This role requires independence and initiative. You should thrive in an environment where you own projects from start to finish, proactively identify risks, and implement solutions without waiting for direction. If you’re resourceful and comfortable navigating ambiguity, you’ll excel here.
- Your Master Communicator Skills Risk management isn’t just about numbers—it’s about influence. You’ll need to translate complex risk concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for preparing reports, presenting findings, and fostering collaboration.
- Your Tech-Forward Thinking Technology is central to risk analysis. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis) and comfortable learning new systems, including enterprise risk management platforms. Familiarity with data visualization or risk modeling tools is a plus.
- Your Organization & Efficiency Guru Status Managing multiple priorities is part of the job. You’ll need exceptional organizational skills to keep projects on track, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation. Attention to detail is critical—small errors can have big consequences in risk management.
