Storytellers Food Server

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide exceptional dining experience through superior food service in a fine dining venue.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Accept, change, or cancel reservations in a professional manner via in-person and telephone contact with Guest.
• Greet, seat, assist, and offer superior service elements to Guests to include beverage service, taking and delivering food orders, maintaining timing of meal flow from appetizer to dessert, announcing special options, making recommendations, and resolving Guest concerns with food quickly and professionally.
• Process guest tickets and payments accurately and efficiently.
• Complete opening set-up and side-work during/after shift as directed.
• Comply with all food and beverage health, liquor and safety regulations.
• Assist with catering events as directed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

2. Work Experience:
   1. 6 months’ experience as food server required in sit-down dining establishment.
   2. Experience working in fine dining establishment preferred.
3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
   1. Possess ability to communicate (verbal, written) effectively and professionally.
   2. Be able to write, read, and speak fluently in English.
   3. Have a solid understanding of customer service elements.
   4. Have basic computer / cash register skills with good math abilities.
   5. Present a well-groomed, professional appearance and demeanor.
4. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:
   1. Must have or be able to obtain food handlers certification and alcohol service certification upon hire.
5. Must be 18 years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
6. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
7. Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
8. Must be committed to providing exceptional guest service through a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment. Aim to exceed guest expectations with attentive, personalized service and prompt responses and resolution.
