What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance Engineer position at CLIFF CASTLE CASINO HOTEL?
POSITION SUMMARY: Under direction from the Hotel Maintenance Supervisor, will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs in Guest rooms/suites, meeting space, restaurant and common areas including building interiors and exteriors and pool.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel/lodge, hotel/lodge property, restaurant, meeting rooms and grounds.
- Responds to all building-related safety concerns.
- Supports hotel/lodge departmental maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
- Deals with Guest related concerns.
- Maintains Guest rooms, public space, and back of the hotel areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.
- Cleans and maintains pool and spa.
- Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, tractor, dollies and other basic loading and unloading equipment as required.
- Drives vehicles to transport materials such as furniture, supplies or equipment as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Indicate if Qualification is Required or Preferred):
Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
- Required Education: HS DIPLOMA Preferred Education: N/A
- Work Experience:
- Three (3) years of resort or hotel maintenance experience
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of building and equipment maintenance/repair techniques.
- Skill in applying building and equipment maintenance/repair techniques.
- Ability to use power hand tools and equipment.
- Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:
- Pool/Spa Certification (CPO)
- Must be 18 years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
- Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
