What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position at Client Services Business?
Male client is a 77-year-old male has the following diagnoses: Parkinsons, Lewy Body Dementia with hallucinations, arthritis, GERD, depression, benign prostatic hyperplasia and BIL cataract surgery. He suffers from symptoms of cognitive impairment r/t dementia, inability to walk, muscle weakness, tremors, limited ROM, bowel and bladder incontinence, shortness of breath with exertion and fatigue. He is verbal and able to communicate his needs.
The client is non-ambulatory and requires assistance with all mobility, including transfers. A hospital bed and Hoyer lift are available in the home to support safe transfers. The client is also incontinent and will require routine incontinence care.He enjoys watching television while resting in bed or sitting in a chair. There is a cat in the home. There is no special diet. The client's wife will prepare all meals
Client needs assistance with activities of daily living.
He has 7hrs 7 days a week. Preferred time is 9am-4pm alternating weeks.
