Accounting Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Ecommerce Accounting Specialist to support our growing finance department. This role will manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and QuickBooks bookkeeping, with a specific emphasis on ecommerce-related transactions.

80-100k yearly salary.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Enter and process vendor bills, invoices, credits, and payments
• Maintain accurate vendor records and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely payment and cash flow planning
• Assist with purchase order and expense tracking where applicable

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Track incoming payments and customer invoices
• Monitor overdue receivables and coordinate collections as needed
• Record deposits and ensure proper customer payment application
• Support reconciliation of receivable accounts and customer credits

Reconciliation & Bookkeeping

• Perform monthly/weekly 
  bank and credit card reconciliations
• Reconcile ecommerce platforms and payment processors
• Ensure accurate mapping of fees, refunds, chargebacks, and settlements
• Support inventory-related accounting and COGS reconciliation when needed

QuickBooks & General Ledger

• Manage bookkeeping and journal entries in 
  QuickBooks Online
• Maintain clean chart of accounts and ensure transaction accuracy
• Assist with month-end close processes and preparation of financial reports
• Work closely with CPA/tax team to support year-end reporting and audits

Ecommerce & Reporting

• Reconcile sales, returns, and fees from ecommerce channels
• Assist in margin analysis and product profitability reporting
• Create and maintain tracking spreadsheets for sales, expenses, and settlements
• Help streamline workflows and improve accounting processes using automation tools

QualificationsRequired

• 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Strong working knowledge of 
  QuickBooks
• Experience with 
  AP/AR and reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfort working with large transaction volumes and spreadsheets

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Ecommerce accounting experience (Amazon/Walmart/ebay)
• Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting
• Basic understanding of sales tax compliance
