As a Manufacturing Engineer Level II, you will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency, quality, and productivity of manufacturing processes within the organization. Building on your foundational experience, you will lead process improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows. Your responsibilities will include analyzing complex production challenges, implementing advanced manufacturing techniques, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position requires a strong focus on continuous improvement, process innovation, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and ensure superior quality.
  • Drive process optimization and cost reduction initiatives across multiple production lines and facilities.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing technologies and techniques to advance operational capabilities.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive quality control systems and standards.
  • Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and spearhead corrective actions to address complex production issues.
  • Develop and refine quality metrics and performance indicators to ensure product excellence. 
  • Provide expert technical support to production teams, addressing and resolving complex manufacturing issues promptly.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Mentor and train production staff on best practices and advanced techniques.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of new product introductions, process improvements, and engineering projects.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure project milestones and objectives are achieved.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and external partners to integrate new technologies and processes.
  • Oversee and maintain detailed records of engineering activities, including complex process changes and advanced improvements.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champion safety initiatives and ensure rigorous compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Lead safety audits and contribute to the development of safety training programs and best practices.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate Click Bond policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.  
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection mold, CNC machining, stamping, deep draw, compression molding, automated assembly and packaging, passivation, and coating.
  • Knowledge of materials science, such as aerospace materials, composites, thermosets, thermoplastics, and adhesives.
  • Proficient in technical writing, capable of simplifying complex information for clarity and conciseness. Skilled at tailoring content for diverse audiences, with a keen attention to detail. Strong research abilities, visual communication, adherence to standards, and expertise in editing and proofreading. Collaborative team player focused on enhancing user experience.
  • Expertise in Lean manufacturing techniques, (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Kanban, JIT, Heijunka, Poka-Yoke, TPM, SMED, Standard Work, GEMBA, Takt Time, Andon and Visual Management).
  • Proficiency in advanced quality control methodologies (ISO 9001, visual, dimensional, NDT, destructive, functional, SPC, X-bar R/S, p, np, c, u, Cp/Cpk).
  • Working knowledge of MRP software, Epicor preferred.
  • Effective project and change management skills that includes, charter creation, requirements gathering, goal creation scoping, stakeholder identification and communication, managing timelines, milestones, resources, budget, risk management, roadmap, and tracking and monitoring progress.
  • Advanced proficiency with CAD software, proficiency in SolidWorks preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. (5-whys, Fishbone, FMEA, DMAIC, Pareto, Histograms, FEA, Discrete Event Simulation, DOE, PDCA, A3, RCCA).
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and proven ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to write and read English.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with proven track record of process improvement and project management.
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry a plus.
