The Building Maintenance Technician plays a hands-on role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of Click Bond’s facilities. This entry level position performs routine building upkeep, minor repairs, painting, carpentry, consumable replacement, and general facility support tasks to ensure a clean, functional, and well-maintained work environment. Working both independently and as part of the Facilities team, this role assists Facilities Technicians, helps minimize equipment downtime, and contributes to the overall reliability of campus operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: While reporting to the Facilities Manager, and supporting the team, you can expect to work individually or in a group, performing general building maintenance tasks such as painting, consumable replacement, basic repairs, and assisting Facilities Technicians with larger projects. All duties must be performed safely, using proper PPE, tools, and training provided.
General Maintenance & Repair
- Perform building upkeep tasks including painting, patching, drywall repair, and surface touch-ups.
- Replace consumables such as light bulbs, batteries, filters, and other facility supplies.
- Conduct light carpentry repairs involving doors, hardware, shelving, and basic fixtures.
- Assist with minor plumbing tasks such as aerators, small drain repairs, and basic fittings.
Facilities Support
- Assemble furniture, shelving, equipment, and various facility components.
- Support Facilities Technicians on larger projects, maintenance tasks, and research-based activities.
- Escort contractors and assist vendors while ensuring adherence to safety and facility procedures.
- Complete, update, and close out work orders accurately and promptly.
Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct routine safety checks and report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Follow all Click Bond safety guidelines and maintain clean, hazard-free work areas.
- Utilize proper tools, PPE, and training for all assigned tasks.
- Work independently, be a self-starter, maintain attention to detail, and ask clarifying questions when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work safely and ask questions when unsure.
- Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to learn CMMS software and perform basic computer tasks.
- Ability to read and write English.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- Excellent hand-eye coordination; ability to grasp and manipulate small parts under ¼ inch.

- Ability to walk up to 300 yards without rest.
- Comfortable working at heights above 20 feet using ladders, power lifts, or forklift baskets.
