Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee and facilitate full cycle recruiting activities through direct contact and sourcing of candidates. They will work closely with our internal hiring managers across multiple departments to identify candidates for open requisitions. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will identify recruiting challenges that may potentially impact the talent pipeline, candidate assessment and engagement, and recruitment strategies. This position will work with the HR management to ensure compatibility with employment law.

Functions & Job Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process through the stages of sourcing through offer acceptance
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day recruiting operations
- Enter and maintain current, accurate, and consistent information in the applicant tracking system, including but not limited to job posting content, applicant status tracking and response, anecdotal information and other required data
- Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Source talented and diverse candidates through creative methods and understand impact of applied strategies.
- Develops and implements process improvement in recruiting program.
- Built and fosters strong working relationships with colleges and external professional organizations to attract and recruit diverse candidates.
- Plan and participate in job/career and on-campus fairs.
- Performs reference checks.
- Manage and maintain new hire check-in surveys.
- Produces reports, assures accuracy of applicant tracking system
- Periodically supports the HR team by performing routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to leave of absence, and benefits; performance and talent management, and health and safety; and training and development.
- Work alongside the HR Specialist to ensure all employee records are maintained and updated with new hire information or changes in employment status.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three (3) to five (5) years of recruiting experience
- Two (2) to three (3) years of managing an applicant tracking system. Paycom preferred.
- Multi-state labor law knowledge preferred
- Healthcare experience a plus
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Ability to work in a work-pace working environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
