Job Summary
Performs basic maintenance and repairs of electrical or lighting systems (600 volts or less) and their components including distribution equipment, transformers, circuits, control panels, electrical system components e.g. relays, contactors, and switches and lighting fixtures. Troubleshoots issues with power and lighting. Performs preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems including but not limited to maintaining circuits, motors, motor controllers, switches, transformers, and related components. Assists in routine inspections of building systems and equipment. Coordinates work with other trades employees, CSU employees, and outside vendors and contractors to complete work assignments. Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory using computerized maintenance management system. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent.
- Completion of four (4) year accredited electrical apprenticeship program.
- Experience as a journeyman electrician.
- Ability to work second shift, weekends, and on call-hours as required.
- Ability to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds. If lifting is over fifty (50) pounds, ability to buddy lift or use of tools to aid in lifting.
- Ability to climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, catwalks, and various arial lifts in excess of twenty-five (25) feet.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
