Job Summary
Provides specialized strength conditioning and instruction on the proper methods of weight training, with the primary focus on injury prevention and maximizing competitive performance to Division I basketball and other assigned team sports. . Assists with the operations of the program, by organizing and scheduling strength and conditioning workouts, ensures facilities are mainlined and enforces all department policies and practices. Works with sport coaches, assists sports medicine staff and provides solutions related to overall student athlete wellness. Attends basketball practices, home basketball games, and travels as needed. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field.
- 1 year experience in weight room coaching, including as a GA, intern or student worker.
- At least one of the following certifications: Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
- Ability to travel and work evening and weekend hours as required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU’s Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
