Middle Grades English Language Arts Teacher

MIDDLE GRADES LANGUAGE ARTS LICENSURE

  • Candidates must hold and be HQ in the middle grades language arts (78180) license area.
  • Non-licensed, residency licensure candidates are eligible based upon holding a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA, and 24 semester hours of related courses in language arts; OR passing PRAXIS II scores in Middle School English Language Arts.
  • Examples of related courses include:
  • English, English Education, Literature, Linguistics, Writing
  • Eligibility for the residency license must be established prior to a contract offer.
