SECONDARY MATH LICENSURE

  • Candidates must hold and be HQ in the secondary (grades 9-12) math (200) license area.
  • Non-licensed, residency licensure candidates are eligible based upon holding a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA, and 24 semester hours of related courses in math; OR Praxis II test 5161 Mathematics Content Knowledge and Praxis II test 5624 Principles of Teaching and Learning: Grades 7-12.
  • Examples of related courses include:
  • Math, Math Education
  • Eligibility for the residency license must be established prior to a contract offer.
  • Candidates with the middle grades math license area will be given consideration.
