CTE ALLIED HEALTH EDUCATION LICENSURE
- Candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a teaching license in the CTE Health Occupations/Registered Nurse license area (720).
- Eligibility for a provisional license must be established prior to a contract offer.
- Candidates who hold or are eligible to hold a teaching license in the CTE Non-RN Allied Heath/Medical Professional license area (721) will also be considered.
- Non-licensed provisional candidates for the CTE Non-RN Allied Heath/Medical Professional license area are eligible based up holding a Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in a non-RN, Allied Health medical field from a state or nationally accredited institution. Applicants must also have an active NC license, registration, or certification clear of any restrictions in the same field as the educational degree. Three years of industry-related work experience within the past ten years is also required.
- Examples of related non-RN Allied Health degrees include:
- Physical Therapist, Radiological Technologist, Respiratory Care/Cardiopulmonary Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Dietetics/Nutrition Technologist, Histological Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Phlebotomist, Physician Assistant, Radiation Therapy Technologist, Dental Hygienist, Physician
- Eligibility for a provisional license must be established prior to a contract offer.
