Cleveland Clinic’s Palm Beach Gardens is looking to a Registered EEG Technician to the team. The EEG Technician is responsible for performing routine testing procedures on patients. We are looking for someone who has EEG monitoring experience and has experience with computers, patient care and Epic. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to join a supportive team and willing to learn new skills. Cleveland Clinic will assist you by offering tuition reimbursement and cross-training for professional development. A caregiver in this position works any 2 set days per week from 8:00AM – 5:00PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Select predetermined electrode combinations and observe patient with video recording equipment. Ensure EEG and tape are lined up exactly. Check focus, lighting and microphone. Abstract relevant information from the patients clinical record and obtain additional information. Perform electroencephalographic examinations on patients. Schedule and organize special procedure tests, angiography, X-ray studies, etc. Serve as an instructor for new personnel. Provide training in the interpretation of EEG recordings, applications and the academics of EEG technology. Maintain equipment in clean operating condition and perform proper maintenance. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Completion of an accredited EEG program OR an Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field Registered EEG Technician (R.EEG.T) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification One year experience as an EEG Technician Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Ability to push and maneuver EEG machine weighing 320 pounds and Evoked Potential machine weighing 420 pounds. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
