As a Psychometrist, you will administer, score and report the results of neuropsychological tests on populations presenting with a wide range of known or suspected neurologic conditions. In this role, your efforts directly impact our ability to provide exceptional care across the U.S. and beyond.
A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM — 5:00PM, with flexibility to work 7:30AM – 4:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Administer, score and report results of many age-appropriate neuropsychological tests on patients with a wide range of known or suspected neurological conditions.
Accurately record responses, times and scores and write detailed behavioral observations concerning patient performance during testing.
Remain alert of cognitive deficits demonstrated by each patient.
Encourage the patient to always give their best performance on a given test.
Remain sensitive, alert and resourceful during testing to tailor the approach to patient needs (especially when working with patients who have severe impairments or behavioral issues
Maintain record keeping and data retrieval systems associated with test batteries.
Assist other Psychometrists as necessary
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field
Educational training sufficient to understand neuropsychology clinical terminology
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Experience with neuropsychological behavioral assessments and test batteries
Course work in psychological tests and measurement
Work Experience:
- Educational training sufficient to understand neuropsychology clinical terminology
- Demonstrated experience with neuropsychological behavioral assessments and test batteries preferred but not required.
- Course work in psychological tests and measurement preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination.
- Requires frequent standing and walking
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- May require moving patients in wheelchairs over short distances.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $17.25
Maximum hourly: $26.31
