As Nursing Ethics Faculty Fellow, you will be responsible for working on and leading projects within the Center for Bioethics that enhance ethical nursing practices. Your daily responsibilities may include the development of a research or quality improvement project, gathering and analyzing data, producing educational materials, teaching educational material and producing and editing written reports and publications. You will work both independently and collaboratively with your team to drive the department forward and enhance clinical care.
A caregiver in this position works 8:30am to 12:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Lead a research or quality improvement project that contributes to ethical nursing practice.
- Assists with new and ongoing projects that contribute to ethical nursing practice.
- Perform project management tasks to ensure completion.
- Work with the Center Staff to address ethical issues in nursing practice through contributions to Center activities and education sessions.
- Participate in Center meetings and activities as relevant to projects and research.
- Draft and prepare written report(s) and manuscript(s) for publication.
- Prepare instructional materials and other resources for use in educational activities.
- Develop and provide educational sessions on nursing ethics issues.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Masters level degree such as a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Master of Science (MSc) or Master of Art (MA) (or equivalent) is required
- Current Cleveland Clinic employee
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Proficiency in analyzing data and synthesizing information Knowledge of ethical issues in nursing
- Two years of nursing experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Juris Doctor (JD)
- Previous project management experience
- Previous leadership experience
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires frequent standing and walking
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Works under stressful conditions and requires irregular hours.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $57,510.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $87,697.50

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
