About the Role
As our HVAC Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, leading the HVAC estimating efforts for our Design-Build and Design-Assist HVAC projects. You'll work closely with project teams, clients, and engineers to develop accurate budgets, assess constructability, and support the successful execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the estimating and bidding process for HVAC systems in commercial construction projects.
Evaluate project documents and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define scope, pricing, and schedules.
Provide value-engineering solutions and equipment selections to optimize pre-construction.
Ensure constructability and system integration through detailed project reviews.
Support the business development team by preparing compelling proposals and participating in project interviews and presentations.
Maintain and update cost databases with historical pricing models to improve estimating accuracy.
Qualifications
7 years of experience in HVAC estimating, with a focus on Design-Build/Design-Assist projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, technical codes, and industry standards.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Experience with estimating software and tools (e.g., Trimble, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, MS Excel).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong preference for local candidates with familiarity and experience with the San Francisco commercial construction market.
