Job Role: Senior Business Analyst – LIMS
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Huntington Beach, CA (Onsite)
Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead requirements gathering and process analysis for Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) implementations and integrations. This role will document current and future state LIMS system requirements. The candidate will also understand how capabilities residing in ancillary systems such as CRM and ERP correspond to LIMS across the Lead-to-Cash process. The ideal candidate will have experience working with bespoke or custom operational applications and a strong understanding of enterprise system landscapes.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and document current state and future state LIMS workflows, data models, and system requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
Assess integration points between LIMS and ancillary systems (CRM, ERP) to optimize end-to-end processes.
Facilitate workshops and interviews with business and technical teams to gather requirements.
Develop process maps, use cases, and user stories for LIMS and related systems.
Partner with project managers and solution architects to ensure alignment of requirements with project scope and objectives.
Lead testing strategy development and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Provide subject matter expertise on LIMS capabilities and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise software projects.
Strong experience documenting business processes, functional requirements, and system specifications.
Familiarity with integration concepts across CRM, ERP, and operational systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with tools such as Visio, Jira, Confluence, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with LIMS platforms (e.g., bespoke LIMS, LabWare, STARLIMS, LabVantage).
Experience in Lead-to-Cash process mapping and optimization.
Background in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC), or Aerospace industries.
Knowledge of regulated environments (ITAR, FDA, ISO, FAA).
Experience with bespoke or custom operational applications.
Familiarity with data governance and compliance requirements.
