What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infrastructure System Engineer position at Clevanoo LLC?
MUST HAVE (hands-on, personally owned)
- 5 years as a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer in a multi-server enterprise environment
- Hyper-V administration: hosts, failover clustering, VM builds, live migration, and patching hosts without taking VMs down. VMware-only experience does not qualify.
- Windows Server: builds, patching, and upgrades
- Active Directory and Group Policy, plus Entra ID
- Enterprise storage (SAN): has provisioned volumes or LUNs, not only consumed storage another team gave them
- Backup and recovery: names the backup tool, and has personally performed and tested restores
- Microsoft 365 administration: licensing, Exchange Online, Entra ID, and security
NOT A FIT
- Help desk, desktop support, or junior administrators
- Cloud-only or Microsoft 365-only profiles
- Network-only profiles
- Architect-level candidates. The client wants practical, hands-on engineers.
- Anyone who needs remote work, sponsorship, or more than the conversion range
INTERVIEW STANDARD
- The client interviews onsite with a technical panel.
- Candidates may be asked to draw a server deployment on a whiteboard and explain the full infrastructure behind it, step by step, and the business reason for each decision they made.
- Anything listed on the resume can be questioned in detail.
- The client is rejecting candidates who list tools or experience they cannot explain, so please remove anything the candidate cannot discuss in detail before submitting.
- Copies of certifications must be included in the submission if it is listed on the resume.
Include the following details in the candidate brief submittal summary:
- The largest environment they personally supported (users, sites, servers, Hyper-V hosts, VMs), and what did they own versus the team?
- Their experience with Hyper-V cluster, including storage, networking, and backups.
- Experience provisioning storage on SAN.
- Experience with restores they performed and the backup tool they used.
