Job Role: Project Manager / Field Representative
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Charlotte Salisbury, NC
Role Overview:
You’ll spend time at project sites, reporting back to John (Senior Project Manager) while ensuring contractors are on schedule, quality standards are met, and issues are solved before they become problems.
This role is less about managing subcontractors directly, and more about facilitating communication between the architect and contractor, coordinating with site superintendents, and ensuring the owner’s voice is always heard.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality.
Attend Owner–Architect–Contractor (OAC) meetings regularly and provide thorough notes and updates to the team.
Facilitate clear communication between the architect and contractor, ensuring design intent and construction execution stay aligned.
Coordinate closely with site superintendents to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain workflow.
Provide timely documentation, photos, and updates through Procore.
Build and submit accurate weekly field reports for the Senior Project Manager and leadership.
Support scheduling and cost-tracking by reporting field-level insights.
Assist with bidding, estimating, and subcontractor coordination as directed by leadership.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Week-in-the-Life:
A week as a Project Manager / Field Rep may look like:
Monday: Walk the site with the superintendent, review progress and challenges, upload field notes and photos into Procore. Afternoon: attend OAC meeting, capture key architect/contractor decisions, and share insights with John.
Tuesday: Document progress and safety compliance, confirm delivery of materials with superintendent, and log updates in Procore.
Wednesday: Check alignment between architect’s design details and contractor execution; document coordination notes for leadership.
Thursday: Support the office team with insights from the field for scheduling, budgeting, or bid clarifications. Build out pieces of the weekly report.
Friday: Conduct final walkthrough with superintendent, prepare and submit the weekly field report including photos, updates, and recommendations. Participate in project closeout punch list or prep for next phase.
Qualifications:
3 years of construction management, site supervision, or related field experience.
Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and safety practices.
Experience using Procore (or similar project management software).
Confident attending and contributing to OAC meetings.
Skilled at facilitating communication between architects, contractors, and superintendents.
Excellent reporting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites.
