Education and Experience
Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, or a closely related field.
Approximately 3–7 years of professional experience in an architectural office, commercial design firm, or design-build construction environment.
Demonstrated experience producing commercial architectural drawings and construction documentation.
Experience with commercial project types such as retail, office, medical, dental, automotive, restaurant, and industrial facilities is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of architectural design, construction methods, and the relationship between design and field execution.
Technical Skills
AutoCAD: Advanced proficiency required.
SketchUp or Revit: Proficiency in 3D modeling and visualization required.
Bluebeam: Experience with drawing review, markups, and document coordination preferred.
Procore: Familiarity with construction project management and document control preferred.
Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and related applications.
Adobe Creative Suite: Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign for rendering, presentation graphics, and client materials is preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented architectural designer with strong AutoCAD skills, commercial construction documentation experience, and the ability to translate design concepts into practical, buildable solutions. The candidate should be comfortable working in an office-based environment, coordinating with construction and design professionals, managing multiple deadlines, and contributing throughout the full project lifecycle—from initial concept and permitting to construction and closeout.
