Laundry Attendant Job Description
Clemson Vacation Rentals is a vacation rental property management company located in the Upcountry of South Carolina. We are currently looking to add a Laundry Attendant to work with our team in Seneca.
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for receiving, checking, cleaning, organizing, and distributing linens to housekeepers and other staff.
This is a part-time position working within our laundry and linen facility in Seneca. The duties and requirements include but are not limited to the following:
Essential Functions
- Placing and organizing linens in appropriate areas for housekeepers.
- Receiving linen bags/bins and keeping counts.
- Collecting soiled linen bags from housekeepers and reporting if bags are missing.
- Wash, dry, fold, and bag linens
- Stain treatment when necessary
- Delivering linens during urgent situations.
- Making linen bags.
- Assisting housekeepers when necessary.
- Tracking weekly inventory of all linens, consumables inventory (i.e., toilet paper, soaps, etc.)
- Communicating with the cleaners
- Preparing and packaging fresh linen
- Other duties as assigned Qualifications
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel materials, reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push heavy carts without assistance.
- Noise level in the environment is usually moderate and can be heavy when washers are in operation.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to take specialty or urgent items to cleaners in the field as well as manage the process of getting specialty items returned in a timely manner
- Able to work flexible hours and days with some nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in Laundry operations (Preferred)
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- US work authorization (Required)
