Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Greenville, SC, for an Ophthalmic Technician. The Ophthalmic Technician will assist eye care professionals in providing top-quality care by conducting diagnostic tests, performing fundus photography, and documenting patient information as a scribe during examinations. Additional duties may include preparing exam rooms, collaborating with medical staff, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in Ophthalmology and Optometry practices, with a strong understanding of medical eye care
- Knowledge of medical protocols and practices in an eye care setting
- Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care
- Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; advanced education or training in a relevant field is beneficial
