Maintenance & Reliability Specialist

Overview
Join the Clemens Food Group maintenance and engineering team and play a key role in improving equipment reliability, performance, and safety. As a Maintenance & Reliability Specialist, you will apply your technical expertise to reduce downtime, optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and drive continuous improvement across our production facilities.
This position is ideal for a mid-level maintenance or reliability professional who enjoys hands-on problem solving, data analysis, and collaboration across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support initiatives that improve equipment uptime, reliability, and performance.
- Develop, document, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to eliminate recurring issues.
- Utilize SAP PM and CMMS data to identify trends, track KPIs, and develop improvement plans.
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to enhance maintenance strategies and reliability culture.
- Recommend and implement reliability-focused equipment modifications.
- Support and coordinate vendor and contractor activities related to reliability or equipment improvement projects.
- Assist in developing training materials, SOPs, and technical documentation for maintenance teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or technical support in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with preventive, predictive, or reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs.
- Proficiency in SAP PM or a comparable CMMS (such as Maximo, EAM, or Fiix).
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze maintenance data, identify trends, and drive improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
Preferred:
- Certification such as CMRP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent.
- Experience in food or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), FMECA, or continuous improvement principles.
