Clegg's Pest Control is currently seeking a PEST CONTROL ROUTE TECHNICIAN for Smithfield and surrounding areas!
Position Summary:
The primary function of the Pest Control Route Technician is to manage a dedicated route, providing pest control and inspection services to both residential and commercial clients according to established standards for timeliness and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive, knowledgeable guidance to customers, effectively communicating options and recommendations for managing new or complex pest problems
- Provide uncompromising service, aiming to exceed client expectations in every interaction
- Respond quickly and professionally to client complaints and service requests
- Work a flexible schedule as needed to meet client expectations, managing schedule and route to address urgent and unscheduled services in a timely manner
- Pest Control Technician will drive and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized company service vehicle according to Clegg's and DOT standards
- Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials in company vehicle
- Will be responsible for keeping a daily log and fill out paperwork for proper record keeping
- Participate in regular update training to stay current with proven practices and methods
- Requirements:
- Excellent communication and people skills are a must
- Work independently, reliably, and consistently
- Must have a valid DL, pass a background/driving check, and random drug testing
- Be able to enter and exit structures and crawl spaces, ascend and descend ladders and stairwells, and climb over and under structures under a variety of environmental conditions including seasonal weather, damp, and dusty conditions
- Able to routinely lift, push and pull equipment and large, bulky items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Prepare environment to be treated including moving furniture, equipment, and other materials to access areas to be treated or inspected
- Write legibly, read, and comprehend pesticide labels and all training materials
- Use a handheld PDA and software applications
