Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, providing information and directing calls as needed.
- Assist students, faculty, and staff with general questions and concerns.
- Access Control:
- Monitor and control access to the building by verifying the identity of individuals entering and exiting.
- Issue visitor badges and ensure that guests are signed in properly.
- Maintain a log of all visitors and deliveries for accountability.
- Report any unusual behavior or incidents to Housing & Residence Life staff and Campus Security personnel when needed.
- Administrative Support:
- Manage and maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is organized and presentable.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments.
- Assist in processing mail and packages, including distribution and tracking.
- Communication:
- Relay messages and information to appropriate staff members.
- Prepare and distribute notices or announcements as directed.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of visitors and appointments.
- Help with inventory management of office supplies and materials.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other office staff to support daily operations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Previous customer service experience is a plus.
