Position Overview
We are seeking a Kansas-qualified Assistant Assisted Living Operator to support daily operations while leading resident activities and life-enrichment programming. This is a hands-on leadership support role for a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) who works closely with the Assisted Living Operator to ensure regulatory compliance, resident well-being, and smooth day-to-day operations.
This position includes participation in on-call rotation as assigned.
Assistant Operator
- Support the Assisted Living Operator with day-to-day operations in compliance with Kansas regulations (KDADS).
- Manage staffing coordination, scheduling coverage, and daily workflow.
- Help ensure compliance with Kansas assisted living licensing standards, medication administration requirements, and resident rights.
- Pass medications within CMA scope of practice and facility policy, when necessary
- Assist with resident admissions, assessments, service plans, and transitions.
- Serve as a point of contact for residents, families, and staff in the Operator’s absence.
- Maintain required documentation and operational records.
- Provide on-call support as assigned, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and resident-centered environment.
Activities & Life Enrichment
- Plan, coordinate, and lead an engaging activities program.
- Develop and maintain a monthly activities calendar.
- Lead group and individual activities based on resident interests and abilities.
- Coordinate outings, special events, entertainers, and volunteers.
- Ensure activities documentation meets Kansas assisted living expectations.

Qualifications
- Active Kansas Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification – required.
- Experience in assisted living or senior care preferred.
- SSD /AD certification is a plus.
- Strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable in a hands-on, resident-facing leadership role.
