We’re looking for a Systems Administrator located in Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Missoula, or Stevensville, MT who is passionate about technology, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the systems our teams depend on every day—supporting not just our organization, but the communities we serve.
What You’ll Do
Support Secure, Reliable Systems
- Manage and maintain servers, networks, and systems to ensure uptime, performance, and security across the organization.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
Plan, Improve & Innovate
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of system upgrades and new technologies.
- Evaluate systems for efficiency and automation opportunities to improve performance and scalability.
- Recommend new equipment, tools, and services, and partner with vendors through procurement and implementation.
Protect What Matters
- Maintain strong logical and physical security practices across all systems
- Support cybersecurity efforts by training and testing staff on best practices and data security.
- Respond to and document system vulnerabilities, incidents, ensuring proper solution and prevention.
Collaborate & Communicate
- Document infrastructure changes and technical specifications through change management processes.
- Partner with internal teams and external providers to maintain and repair systems and hardware.
- Keep leadership informed of any risks or issues that could impact system integrity or member data.
Be a Trusted Resource
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to staff as needed.
- Participate in on-call support to ensure systems remain operational.
- Create and maintain clear documentation to support ongoing system management and issue resolution.
What You Bring
- College degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, including systems administration or similar roles.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support and collaborate across teams and partners.
