Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our medical office. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic images of the heart for physician interpretation. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a large role in patient care, and testing results may determine the next course of treatment. At CCC we perform cardiac PET/CT stress testing, SPECT stress testing, Amyloid scans, and MUGA scans. The ideal candidate will provide reliable support in operating camera equipment, performing camera QC, preparing radio-pharmalogical medications, adhering to radiation safety standards, high quality patient care, utilizing computer skills, and collaborating with techs, nurses, APPs, and physicians working with our clinical team. Day-to-day tasks will include camera operations, handling radio-pharmalogical tracers, starting IVs, preparing diagnostic images for physicians, report generation and editing, data collection and archival, and collaborating within office operations and our clinical team. The Full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist supports the NMT Supervisor, NMT Technologists, EKG Technicians, nursing staff, and physicians in the daily operation of the NMT department. We are looking for a reliable individual who will help maintain efficiency and a smooth workflow.

What You Will Be Doing
- Assist in the preparation of the Nuclear Medicine schedule on a daily basis to ensure proper orders are entered for accurate documentation, high quality studies, excellent patient and physician satisfaction, and operational efficiency with support to the NMT Supervisor/ NMT Techs/ physicians.
- Handle all Personal Health Information (PHI) with complete discretion.
- Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines outlined in the ALARA program.
- Ensure NMT pre-test paperwork is accurate and complete so testing results can be reported accurately and promptly.
- Prepare and handle radioactive tracers to safely administer to patients. Knowledge on radiotracers and radiation safety is required.
- Preparing and processing diagnostic cardiac images for physician interpretation.
- Collaborating and communicating professionally and efficiently with clinical staff.
- Confirm billing matches ordering diagnosis and order documented. Remove completed order after charges are entered.
- Edit and finalize NMT reports. Maintain accurate documentation and editing of generated reports.
- Look ahead to request, retrieve, and prepare outside images and reports needed for comparison studies.
- Proper handling and administration of radiopharmaceuticals per ALARA and state regulations
- Perform high quality, diagnostic image acquisition, and processing in both our Cardiac Spect and PET CT labs
- Spect and Pet camera instrumentation and quality control
- Proper procedural documentation and maintaining of all records required by Florida Department of Health, Radiation control
- Participates in ensuring compliance with applicable regulations including OSHA, NRC, and the Florida Department of Health.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with practice standards.
- NMTCB or ARRT certification
- BLS and/or ACLS certification
- FL state CRT license
- Graduate of a nuclear medicine technology program
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Working background in healthcare is preferred
- Knowledge of basic Medical Terminology
- Knowledge of ALARA and Radiation Safety
- National and state license in your field
- Good computer skills
