Location and Reporting Structure
The Assistant Cath Lab Manager is based in the Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants (CCC) outpatient cath and ep labs in Clearwater, FL and reports directly to the Cardiovascular (CV) Lab Manager. This position supports departmental operations and assumes managerial responsibilities in the absence of the CV Lab Manager, in alignment with organizational leadership directives.
Position Summary
The Assistant Cath Lab Manager supports the CV Lab Manager in the oversight and administration of cardiovascular laboratory operations. Responsibilities include staff supervision, inventory and equipment management, regulatory compliance, policy development, quality assurance initiatives, and operational efficiency. This role requires proactive leadership, continuous process improvement, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Quality and Operations
- Support development and implementation of departmental goals, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational strategy.
- Ensure efficient resource utilization and promote cross-training to maintain optimal staffing coverage.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Oversee quality assurance activities, data reporting, and maintenance of equipment records.
- Coordinate quality control procedures and monitor radiation safety compliance.
- Provide clinical coverage as needed during staffing shortages or high-volume periods.
Financial Management
- Assist in departmental budget planning and operate within approved financial guidelines.
- Support staffing plans consistent with productivity standards and budgetary requirements.
- Participate in capital planning and equipment acquisition aligned with service needs.
Growth and Performance Improvement
- Contribute to short- and long-term departmental goals in support of the organization’s mission.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance revenue while maintaining quality of care.
Human Resources and Staff Development
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with Human Resources policies, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary processes.
- Promote employee engagement, retention, and a culture of accountability and professionalism.
Leadership and Management
- Demonstrate effective planning, organization, and change management skills.
- Support staff competency, performance improvement initiatives, and ongoing education.

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse, Registered Radiologic Technologist, or Cardiovascular Technologist
- Minimum of five years of cardiac catheterization experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
