Clinical Duties
- Conduct initial patient assessments, including vital signs, weight, BMI calculations, and health history reviews.
- Assist in developing and implementing weight loss plans under the supervision of medical professionals.
- Administer prescribed medications, including weight loss injections.
- Monitor patients for any side effects or adverse reactions to weight loss treatments.
- Provide patient education on nutrition, exercise, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
- Conduct follow-up visits to track progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in the electronic health system.
- Offer motivation and encouragement to patients throughout their weight loss journey.
- Educate patients on meal planning, portion control, and behavioral changes.
- Provide guidance on exercise routines and safe weight loss practices.
- Address patient concerns and escalate medical issues to the supervising provider.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage clinic workflow.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, medical regulations, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and order as needed.
- Active and unencumbered LPN license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in weight management, wellness, primary care, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Clinic setting with standard weekday hours. Extended hours may be added at a later date.
