GENERAL NATURE OF DUTIES:
This position is responsible for leading and managing Human Resources services, policies and programs for the practice/region including employment and compliance, recruiting and staffing, employee orientation, onboarding and training, performance management and improvement, employee retention and engagement, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration. The incumbent provides support and guidance to practice management and employees with a focus on consistent employment practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to practice leadership, providing guidance on people-related strategy and execution around talent management, employee relations and HR best practices.
- Ensures compliance with and provides guidance/expertise on company Human Resources policies and procedures, and federal, state and local employment laws, standards and regulations.
- Develops and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale, motivation and engagement. Provides coaching and conflict resolution for managers and employees.
- Manages hiring process to include recruiting, screening, onboarding and orientation.
- Manages employee data, ensuring employee records are accurate, compliant and maintained according to regulatory standards and company policies.
- Administers company benefits program, ensuring timely new hire/life event enrollment, answering day-to-day inquiries, and managing leaves of absence.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and managers.
- Manages employee relations issues, exercising discretion and confidentiality. Conducts compliant investigations of employee complaints or incidents when necessary.
- Guides leadership on corrective action and employment termination in a compliant manner.
- Ensures equity in compensation by maintaining up to date job descriptions and competencies, timely evaluations and merit increases/salary adjustments as appropriate.
- Coordinates off-boarding and exit interviews.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience. SHRM - CP/SCP/PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
- 5 to 7 years progressive Human Resources experience
- Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, laws, regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems is required, experience with UKG Pro a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to approach problem-solving in a collaborative manner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
- Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality.
- Ability to travel within Florida. Travel no more than 10%.
