- Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls.
- Assess, treat, and transport patients in accordance with Missouri state regulations, district policies, and established medical protocols.
- Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) care utilizing current evidence-based practices.
- Operate ambulances safely under emergency and non-emergency conditions.
- Complete accurate, thorough, and timely electronic patient care reports (ePCRs).
- Maintain ambulances, medical equipment, medications, and supplies in a clean, organized, and response-ready condition.
- Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Participate in continuing education, skills training, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain positive working relationships with local hospitals, physicians, clinics, medical providers, long-term care facilities, fire departments, law enforcement agencies, emergency management personnel, and other healthcare and public safety partners to ensure seamless patient care and effective community collaboration.
- Interact professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and the public.
- Represent Clearwater Ambulance District with professionalism, integrity, and respect at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Missouri Paramedic License.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Valid Missouri Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background investigation.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- National Registry Paramedic certification preferred.
- Previous 911 EMS experience preferred.
- ITLS, PHTLS, or equivalent trauma certification preferred.
- Community Paramedicine or Critical Care experience is a plus.
