Unit Manager Job Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of your assigned unit to ensure a smooth, efficient, and caring environment.
- Lead, mentor, and support team members — including nurses, CNAs, and support staff — to deliver exceptional resident care.
- Monitor workflow, staffing, and scheduling to maintain quality standards and meet facility guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with department heads to address resident needs, resolve issues, and promote continuous improvement.
- Conduct rounds to ensure staff engagement, adherence to care plans, and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Support performance management efforts by providing feedback, coaching, and recognition.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to foster trust and satisfaction.
- Participate in care plan meetings and help coordinate interdisciplinary efforts to ensure holistic resident care.
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members to uphold Bradford Heights’ standards of excellence.
- Active LPN/RN license.
- Previous experience in a healthcare, senior living, or long-term care leadership role preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a busy care environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and documentation processes (knowledge of MatrixCare a plus).
