Responsibilities And Duties
- Support the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing services, programs, and initiatives in accordance with current rules, regulations, and clinical best practices.
- Coordinate nursing services with other resident care services to ensure a comprehensive, consistent care plan for each resident.
- Assess staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage and support high-quality care delivery.
- Assist with employee scheduling within established guidelines and oversee appropriate staff assignments.
- Ensure that direct nursing care is delivered by qualified personnel, including licensed nurses, CNAs, CMAs/GNAs, or nurse aide trainees as permitted.
- Monitor and review clinical documentation, including nurses' notes, to ensure they are complete, descriptive, and reflective of the care provided and resident response.
- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of in-service education programs, incorporating up-to-date instructional materials and training aids.
- Provide leadership in establishing the goals, objectives, and structure of the facility’s staff development and continuing education programs.
- Experience in rehabilitative and nursing practices strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide age-appropriate care for residents.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, families, and external partners.
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations related to long-term care.
- Committed to promoting teamwork, a positive work culture, and high-quality resident outcomes.
- Must have RN license in State
