Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Shift Training on the 1st shift

Clearstaff in Chicago is currently in need of Maintenance Mechanics for a customer located in the Chicago area, the Mechanic will perform preventative Maintenance & Emergency repairs to all packing machinery, striving to improve equipment reliability & quality, as part of the maintenance team.Hours: will be training on 1st shift 5:30AM-2PM , once training is complete you will transfer to 2nd shift 1PM-11PM.Pay rate: $25-$30 per hourDuties and Responsibilities:Fill out daily log reports, emergency breakdown reports, work orders, and communicate with incoming shifts.Perform machine set up and repair assembly and packaging equipment.Perform preventative maintenance routines on all production equipment.Ability to work on low voltage and 120-480vac equipment, starters, motors, vfd’s, sensors, controllers, photo-eyes, etc.Install, debug and stabilize plant equipment as required.Read schematics and blueprints to interpret, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic issues to properly and safely repair.Perform repairs and upgrades of the machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation.Install electronic parts and hardware, using soldering equipment and hand toolsAssist in Production/Maintenance related assignments as needed.Communicate regarding issues and problems solve with Production staff any quality and safety concerns.Perform electrical and distribution lock out/ tag out method steady with customary safety protocol.Record maintenance data as directed by the Maintenance supervisor to monitor equipment performance, i.e. work ordersIdentify and report equipment concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.Participate in overtime assignments as required. Mechanic is required to supply their own hand tools and a lockable toolbox.Working in a general manufacturing environment.Perform various other similar and related duties as required by the Plant Manager.
