FRONT OF HOUSE STORE ASSOCIATE

Clearfork Market is a natural foods grocery and wellness market located in the heart of Parker County. We serve our community with a carefully selected mix of local farm products, organic and natural groceries, clean supplements, fresh produce, and trusted wellness goods. Our store is guided by a farm-to-table, local-first philosophy.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and friendly Front of House Store Associate. The primary focus of this position is customer service, register operation, product knowledge, stocking, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor clean and organized.

This is a good fit for someone with grocery, retail, produce, stocking, sales, or customer service experience who takes pride in showing up on time, staying productive, helping customers, and keeping the store running smoothly.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Front of House Store Associate helps create a welcoming and helpful shopping experience for every customer. Daily responsibilities include operating the register, answering customer questions, helping customers find products, stocking and facing shelves, maintaining displays, checking product dates, working with fresh produce, and keeping the front of the store clean and organized.

Although this position is primarily focused on the front of the store, all associates may occasionally help receive deliveries, organize back stock, stock coolers and freezers, or assist with other store needs.

Position: Front of House Store Associate
Status: Full-time or part-time
Hours: Full-time availability preferred, approximately 30 to 40 hours per week
Schedule: Weekdays and Saturdays
Location: Hudson Oaks, Texas 76087

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet customers and create a friendly, welcoming store environment
  • Provide helpful and professional customer service
  • Assist customers with product questions, selections, and store navigation
  • Operate the POS register accurately and efficiently
  • Handle payments, receipts, discounts, and basic register duties
  • Learn and share product knowledge about natural foods, supplements, produce, wellness products, and locally made items
  • Educate customers about featured products, promotions, and store programs
  • Stock shelves, coolers, freezers, displays, and checkout areas
  • Face and straighten products so shelves remain full, clean, and organized
  • Check product dates and rotate inventory
  • Keep product tags accurate, visible, and easy to read
  • Maintain clean and attractive displays throughout the store
  • Help keep the checkout area, sales floor, aisles, and customer areas clean
  • Answer the phone and assist with basic customer questions when needed
  • Communicate clearly with coworkers and managers
  • Move with urgency and remain productive throughout the shift
  • Help wherever needed to support smooth daily store operations

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES

Customer service is the main focus of this position. The right person should enjoy talking with customers, helping them find what they need, and creating a positive experience.

Front of House Store Associates will:

  • Welcome and acknowledge customers
  • Listen carefully and help customers find appropriate products
  • Learn the store layout and become familiar with our main product categories
  • Share basic information about natural foods, supplements, produce, local products, and store programs
  • Tell customers about current sales and featured products
  • Provide accurate and friendly checkout service
  • Help resolve basic customer concerns and involve management when needed
  • Thank customers and help create a reason for them to return

REGISTER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Open and operate the register as assigned
  • Scan products and complete transactions accurately
  • Handle cash, cards, receipts, discounts, and refunds according to store procedures
  • Pay attention to product prices and report possible pricing errors
  • Keep the register and checkout area clean and stocked
  • Remain attentive and professional while assisting customers
  • Ask for help when a transaction or customer concern requires management

STOCKING AND MERCHANDISING

  • Stock grocery, supplement, refrigerated, frozen, produce, and wellness products
  • Face shelves and keep product labels turned forward
  • Fill empty spaces and report low-stock items
  • Keep displays neat, clean, and easy to shop
  • Check expiration dates and rotate products using First In, First Out practices
  • Pull damaged, expired, or poor-quality products
  • Keep aisles clear and safe for customers
  • Make sure product tags are visible, accurate, and placed with the correct items

PRODUCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Fresh produce is an important part of Clearfork Market. Front of House Store Associates should be willing to work with produce regularly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Handling fresh produce carefully
  • Stocking and refreshing produce displays
  • Rotating products to maintain freshness and reduce waste
  • Checking produce quality throughout the day
  • Pulling damaged, spoiled, or poor-quality items
  • Keeping produce displays clean, full, organized, and appealing
  • Recognizing that fresh produce needs regular attention throughout the day

BACK OF HOUSE SUPPORT

While this position is focused on front-of-house operations, associates may occasionally help with:

  • Receiving trucks and vendor deliveries
  • Breaking down shipments
  • Checking products for accuracy, quality, and damage
  • Moving products from back stock to the sales floor
  • Organizing coolers, freezers, and storage areas
  • Maintaining product rotation and expiration dates
  • Supporting produce quality control
  • Keeping back-stock areas clean and orderly

Experience in grocery, produce, retail, stocking, sales, receiving, supplements, or customer service is preferred but not required for the right person.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Bend, reach, lift, stock, and move products throughout the shift
  • Lift up to 50 pounds when needed
  • Work in coolers, freezers, and different areas of the store
  • Safely complete physical stocking and cleaning tasks

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be dependable and arrive on time for scheduled shifts
  • Must be available to work weekdays and Saturdays
  • Must communicate clearly about scheduling and availability
  • Full-time availability is preferred, but part-time applicants may also be considered
