Job Overview
Our dental office is seeking a kind and organized front desk receptionist with exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail to help serve the needs of our patients. This role requires strong communication skills with proficiency in managing phone calls professionally, creating and maintaining an efficient schedule, and accurately collecting and entering data into computer systems. Dental or medical office experience preferred, bonus points if you have admin skills and/or office manager aspirations. This is a full-time in-office position (approximately 36 hrs per week) with growth potential for a motivated creative individual who shares our vision of kind, comprehensive dental care and is willing to learn new things. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage multi-line phone systems, handling incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding services, procedures, and office policies effectively.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinical calendar efficiently using Open Dental.
- Confirm patient appointments and review documentation for completeness and accuracy before patient visits.
- Verify insurance information and assist with insurance verification processes.
- Collect payments, process credit cards, and assist with billing tasks.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, scanning and data entry
- Understand (or learn) and use dental terminology
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Enjoy learning new things
