Production Manager – Food Manufacturing
Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily food manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and food safety requirements are achieved. This role leads production teams, manages staffing and scheduling, drives operational efficiency, and supports continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations across multiple shifts.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and labor utilization to meet production targets.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
- Oversee inventory and material availability to support production schedules.
- Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Coach, develop, and supervise hourly production employees.
- Collaborate with Quality, Planning, Sanitation, HR, and Logistics teams.
- Maintain accurate production reports, labor records, and operational documentation.
Requirements
- 3 years of Production Management experience in food manufacturing.
- Experience leading hourly employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety programs.
- Experience with production scheduling, inventory management, and labor planning.
- Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
