Piper Companies is seeking a Telephony Network Specialist to join a leading telecommunications company while focusing on maintaining and modernizing voice communication systems, including the transition from legacy TDM platforms to VoIP/SIP-based solutions. The position requires an active Top Secret clearance and will be 100% onsite five days per week in Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsibilities for the Telephony Network Specialist:
- Oversee and maintain telephony infrastructure across both traditional TDM systems and modern IP-based voice technologies.
- Lead efforts to migrate from legacy telephony to VoIP/SIP solutions.
- Participate in hands-on lab work, system testing, and deployment activities to ensure operational readiness.
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver seamless integration and optimize system performance. Qualifications for the Telephony Network Specialist:
- 5 years of experience in telephony or network engineering supporting enterprise-level voice systems.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret clearance.
- Strong understanding of TDM telephony and VoIP/SIP protocols.
- Practical experience with telephony migrations, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.
- Compliance with DoD 8140 and possession of CompTIA Security certification. Compensation/Benefits for the Telephony Network Specialist:
- Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000 annually
