Piper Companies is seeking an IP Telephony Engineer to support a leading telecommunications company and assist with the migration from legacy TDM systems to modern VoIP/SIP technologies. The ideal IP Telephony Engineer must have an active Secret clearance and will be onsite in Fort Belvoir, VA 5 days per week. Responsibilities for the IP Telephony Engineer:
- Provide operational support for telephony systems across legacy TDM and IP-based voice environments.
- Assist with the transition of traditional telephony infrastructure to VoIP/SIP platforms.
- Participate in lab testing, system validation, and deployment activities to ensure readiness for production environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of voice services. Qualifications for the IP Telephony Engineer:
- 5 years of experience in telephony or network engineering supporting enterprise-level voice systems.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.
- Strong knowledge of TDM telephony and VoIP/SIP protocols.
- Hands-on experience with telephony migrations, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.
- Compliance with DoD 8140 and possession of CompTIA Security certification. Compensation/Benefits for the IP Telephony Engineer:
- Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000 annually (based on experience).
