Senior Systems Engineer – High Assurance Devices

Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / SCI required About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support newly awarded programs focused on High Assurance Device (HAD) development and certification. This role plays a key part in system requirements, architecture, verification, and government technical reviews for secure, mission-critical technologies. The ideal candidate will operate confidently in classified environments and support program execution throughout the full lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead development and management of system requirements for High Assurance Devices. Establish and maintain requirements traceability, verification, and validation. Develop test methodologies to verify system requirements. Prepare and support major technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) in accordance with government CDRLs/DIDs. Guide system architecture and trade studies for: Encryption devices Key management systems FPGAs and ASICs Identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies. Support formal government certification processes for HAD systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 10 years of experience in systems engineering, program execution, and DoD acquisition processes. Demonstrated ability to work within classified environments. Strong communication and documentation skills. Active TS/SCI clearance required. Desired Skills Experience working with High Assurance Devices. Familiarity with cryptologic networking standards (e.g., MACsec, IPsec). Background in software, hardware, FPGA, or ASIC development.
