We are seeking an experienced Agile Developer to support the modernization of a large-scale legacy operational system. This role focuses on developing and deploying cloud-native, microservices-based solutions using modern technologies and Agile best practices. The selected candidate will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure software capabilities in direct support of a mission-critical government program.
This position supports a follow-on contract, and the ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong collaboration skills, and experience delivering solutions in high-security environments.
This program provides engineering and software services that support:
- System design and software development
- Data management and workflow solutions
- Analytics, targeting orchestration, and data distribution
- Capability deployments and system enhancements
- Rules management for a rules-based engine
- Software and system requirements derivation and management
The Agile Developer will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing Java Spring Boot–based microservices leveraging AWS native technologies
- Modernizing legacy systems into scalable, cloud-based microservice architectures
- Building and maintaining RESTful APIs capable of filtering, querying, and selecting complex data objects
- Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Maven, GitLab, and GitOps methodologies
- Supporting containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Applying Agile development principles, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives
- Collaborating with software engineers, systems engineers, product owners, and mission stakeholders
- Ensuring software quality through automated testing frameworks and best practices
- Supporting secure software development in compliance with mission and government standards
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Nine (9) years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus seven (7) years of relevant experience
- Active Top Secret clearance with CI Polygraph completed within the last five years
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) required
Desired Skills

- Programming experience with Java, Spring Boot, and/or Python
- Experience designing and implementing microservice architectures
- CI/CD and DevOps experience using tools such as:
- AWS native services
- Maven

- Database experience with NoSQL technologies, including MongoDB schema design and query optimization
- Experience implementing OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication and authorization
