MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Systems Administrator, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the customer's mission. * Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure components to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform system administration tasks including software installations, updates, and patch management.
- Provide technical support to resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Support the implementation of new IT systems, applications, and infrastructure as needed.
- Document and update IT procedures, configurations, and technical workflows. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Administrator must have: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Experience may be substituted for education.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or system administration roles.
- Proficiency in managing Windows, Linux, or other operating systems.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python) REQUIRED * Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Top Secret and SCI eligible
