The Network Operations Support Specialist provides technical support for the daily operation and maintenance of enterprise network systems. This position plays a key role in ensuring network performance, availability, and reliability by assisting with troubleshooting, system monitoring, and configuration support. The role requires hands-on experience with network tools, traffic analysis platforms, and infrastructure components in a mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain operational status of network hardware, tools, and services.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, system alerts, and hardware/software issues.
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of network monitoring and security tools.
- Assist with the deployment and integration of physical network hardware and sensors.
- Document technical procedures, configuration changes, and incident resolution steps.
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Apply security patches, updates, and system configurations as directed.
- Maintain awareness of system health and performance through proactive analysis and alerting. Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Prior experience providing technical support within a network operations or similar environment.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting network connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
- Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking concepts, protocols, and topologies.
- Ability to follow established procedures, respond to incidents, and escalate as appropriate.
