Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures
• Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques on various materials including sheet metal, ductwork, and piping
• Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and press brake machines to shape, cut, and assemble metal components accurately
• Read schematics and mechanical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes
• Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and positioning during fabrication or installation
• Conduct plasma cutting and soldering tasks with precision according to project specifications
• Follow ASME codes & standards to ensure all welds meet safety and quality regulations
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly using machining tools, power tools, and safety equipment at all times
• Collaborate with team members on construction sites or manufacturing floors to complete projects efficiently
• Perform basic math calculations for measurements, material quantities, and tolerances necessary for fabrication tasks

Experience

• Proven construction site experience or hands-on welding background in manufacturing or fabrication environments
• Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, welding; certification preferred but not required
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical drawings is essential for accurate work execution
• Experience operating machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, or pipe threading equipment is advantageous
• Knowledge of rigging techniques, crane operation basics, and forklift handling enhances safety and productivity
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and schematics confidently in daily tasks
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication projects
• Mechanical knowledge related to ductwork installation, pipe fabrication, or assembly processes is highly valued
