2nd Shift Material Handler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our client's team. The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials, parts, and products within a warehouse or production environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth operations by ensuring that materials are delivered to the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or production facility.
• Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other material handling equipment to transport materials.
• Pick and stage materials for production or shipping based on work orders or shipping documents.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through barcode scanning or manual entry.
• Ensure materials are stored in proper locations, labeled, and organized.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Report damaged or missing materials and assist with resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and equipment safety protocols.
• Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with 5S or similar organizational standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and shipping/receiving teams to support daily workflow.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of warehouse, material handling, or logistics experience preferred.
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) a plus.
• Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills or familiarity with inventory software and handheld scanners.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
