Job Duties

• Install, connect, and commission temporary flushing systems — pump skids, filtration units, hoses, temporary piping, and instrumentation — on facility water and TCS loop piping in accordance with project flushing plans.

• Operate flushing equipment to achieve and maintain required flow rates and velocities through each piping circuit, sequencing valves and circuits per the flushing plan.

• Perform chemical cleaning, degreasing, and passivation operations, including chemical addition, circulation, monitoring, neutralization, and disposal coordination in accordance with SDS and company procedures.

• Conduct field water quality testing (e.g., turbidity, total suspended solids, iron, conductivity, pH, inhibitor levels) and interpret results against project cleanliness and acceptance criteria.

• Read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), mechanical drawings, and flushing diagrams to plan circuit isolation, temporary connections, and flow paths.

• Monitor and maintain filtration equipment, including bag and cartridge changes based on differential pressure, and track solids removal.

• Complete accurate flushing records, water test logs, chemical usage logs, and shift reports; assist in preparing turnover documentation and final flush reports.

• Coordinate daily activities with general contractor, mechanical contractor, and commissioning agent representatives as directed by the crew lead.

• Troubleshoot common equipment and process issues such as pump cavitation, air binding, low flow, and filter blinding.

• Provide on-the-job training, direction, and mentorship to Field Technician I team members.

• Comply with and help enforce all company, client, and site-specific safety requirements, including lockout/tagout and chemical handling procedures.
