Primary Purpose

Perform duties associated with receiving, warehousing, and distributing district textbooks, instructional materials and teacher materials. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

 

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Licensure

High School Diploma/GED

Valid Texas Driver’s License                                                                                                                             

Must be able to pass criminal history and MVR driving record check as required by CCISD.

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

Basic computer skills for data entry

Strength and stamina to lift and carry boxes weighing 40-50 lbs. frequently; push loaded dolly/ hand truck

Ability to drive delivery truck/forklift

Good communication skills

Ability to work well without constant supervision

Organizational skills and attention to detail

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Check shipments received; report receipts and shipment errors to Instructional Materials Coordinator.
  2. Break down pallets of boxes of textbook materials received at district warehouse, sort by school and deliver to campuses or to textbook depository.
  3. Fill textbook orders and deliver to schools from new shipments or from depository.
  4. Transfer materials from schools with overages to schools with shortages.
  5. Enter records of deliveries and transfers into Hayes Textbook Inventory Software.
  6. Arrange for use of CCISD vehicle for textbook delivery.
  7. Organize and maintain CCISD Textbook Depository inventory; make reports on holdings, as requested.
  8. Receive and check in adoption samples, un-box and display official district samples for public viewing.
  9. Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
  10. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
  11. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.
  12. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  13. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  14. Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.
  15. Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
  16. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  17. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  18. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  19. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  20. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  21. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  22. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

Reading: communicating (verbal/written); interpreting skills; compiling, coordinating, computing; maintaining emotional control in a stressful situation

 

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

Strenuous walking, climbing and heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Work inside and outside being exposed to hot and cold temperatures and varying weather conditions.

 

Terms: 230 days - Part Time

 

Pay Grade: AUX 5
