Provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership for Technical Services. Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
Associate degree (required)
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft, Apple, CompTIA) preferred
Must pass Clear Creek ISD Drug and Alcohol Abuse Standards
Must pass criminal history and MVR driving record check as required by Clear Creek ISD
Special Knowledge/Skills
Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to manage, coach, and evaluate staff
Extensive knowledge of end-user computing environments, including devices, applications, and support systems
Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) practices and ticketing systems (e.g., TopDesk or equivalent)
Ability to analyze data, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
Experience
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in technology services, operations, or related organizational support environments
Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, including managing staff, teams, or departments (preferred)
Proven experience leading large-scale operations or service delivery functions, including technology services, campus operations, or comparable organizational systems
Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and evaluate staff, including performance management and team development
Experience supporting or overseeing technology initiatives, digital learning environments, or 1:1 device programs (preferred)
Experience developing and improving processes, workflows, and service delivery models, including the use of systems to manage work (e.g., ticketing systems, operational workflows, or equivalent tools)
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support organizational or instructional goals
Demonstrated ability to bridge operational leadership with technical teams, ensuring alignment between user needs, service delivery, and technology solutions
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate Technical Services staff, including supervisors and team leads; establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
- Collaborate with district leadership and departments to align technology services with instructional and operational needs and support district strategic goals.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to build staff capacity and ensure effective service delivery.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and service activities; promote consistency and standardization.
- Oversee lifecycle management of end-user devices, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and replacement; support evaluation and selection of hardware and software solutions.
- Promote effective use of technology systems through training, support structures, and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Partner with district leadership and vendors to support initiatives, resolve issues, and improve service delivery outcomes.
- Provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations to the Director of Network & Technical Services; support data-informed decision making.
- Ensure effective use of ticketing systems and service management tools to track, manage, and report on work activities.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight of supported systems, ensuring effective and reliable service delivery.
